Puppyhood is the time when foundations are formed — for behaviour, confidence, and your lifelong relationship. Our Puppy School is designed to support you through this stage with clear, practical training and expert guidance.
The program is now available online, giving you the flexibility to train in your own home and on your own schedule — where your puppy actually learns. For those on the Sunshine Coast, optional in-person sessions can be added to get personalised feedback and support.
You’ll receive weekly lessons, real-world training plans, and the option to work directly with Charlotte when you need it. This model allows the whole family to be involved, helps you revisit lessons anytime, and keeps the learning consistent — even when life gets busy.
The course is suitable for puppies of any age and covers essential foundations like settling, toilet training, socialisation, confidence-building, calm behaviour, and introduction to basic cues. Whether your puppy is 9 weeks or 9 months, the focus is on raising a well-adjusted, resilient companion.
It’s not about chasing perfect obedience — it’s about giving your puppy the tools to feel safe, supported and confident in their world.
SUNSHINE COAST PUPPY SCHOOL
The Puppy School That Focuses on Real Life – Not Just Tricks
Raising a puppy can feel overwhelming. You want to do the right thing, but there’s so much conflicting advice out there. That’s why our Puppy School is designed to guide you through the early months with clarity, confidence, and support that lasts beyond the class.
Created by Sunshine Coast dog trainer and behaviour consultant Charlotte Bryan, this program is built to help you raise a dog you can actually live with — not just one that knows how to sit.
Instead of group classes that only skim the surface, you’ll get access to an easy-to-follow online course that walks you through:
-
Focus and calmness around distractions
-
Loose leash walking from day one
-
Building your puppy’s confidence and resilience
-
Preventing common behaviour issues
-
Fading out treats the right way
-
Reliable communication through cues
And when you need a bit more help, you can book a one-on-one session with Charlotte — either in person or online — to troubleshoot, refine, or get hands-on support tailored to your pup.
Charlotte is your coach from the moment you enrol. You’ll have access to weekly video modules, printable guides, and optional email support, so you never feel stuck or unsure.
Whether you’re a first-time puppy parent or doing it differently this time around, this program helps you lay the groundwork for a calm, confident adult dog you’ll be proud to live with.
Some of the things you'll learn at puppy school:
-
How to properly socialise your puppy in real-world environments
-
How to teach essential cues: leash walking, sit, down, stay, recall, and “leave it”
-
How to prepare your puppy for handling tasks like nail trims and vet visits
-
How to build impulse control and encourage calm, settled behaviour
-
How to teach focus around distractions, even in busy environments
-
The difference between confidence and resilience — and how to develop both
-
How to fade out food rewards while maintaining reliable responses
-
How to teach your puppy to ignore food or items on the ground
-
How to help your puppy understand when it’s time to work, rest, or play
-
And much more, including troubleshooting common challenges as they arise
