By making a booking with Paws Claws and Tails’ Therapy Dog Program – you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accept the terms and conditions below.
Completion of the booking process and acceptance of our terms and conditions forms your contract with Charlotte Bryan and Paws, Claws & Tails.
All puppies and adult dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations. If any dogs are observed to appear unwell when presenting to training, you may be asked to reschedule your training session.
All of our training procedures to do with our Therapy Dogs Program are based on positive reinforcement training methods. We do not use correction chains, compulsion, intimidation, physical force, electronic collars, prong collars etc whilst training our Therapy Dogs. When undertaking training within our program you understand that harsh methods will not be tolerated in training and our services may be ceased as a result. We will not advocate for the use of aversive methods in training and you agree our methods will focus on using positive based methods.
Any social interactions will be guided by the trainer and assessments of your dog’s sociability is undertaken first. Paws Claws & Tails and Charlotte Bryan will not be held liable for any injuries that may occur while training or outside of training sessions. You agree to indemnify us from any liability to claims, losses, fees or suits that may arise from any information received during services or via information provided on this website.
We hold no responsibility for injury or damage to you, your dog, third parties or property.
We hold no responsibility for theft or damage to vehicles or property while at the training premises.
INSURANCE
Therapy Dogs are not covered under any insurance by Paws Claws & Tails and Charlotte Bryan. It is recommended that insurance policies be taken out to protect yourselves from any possibly cases of liability you may encounter. Seek advice from your insurer. By applying to undertake our Therapy Dog Program you agree to indemnify us from any claims made against yourself while your dog is working within a therapy role in the community or within your organisation.
All information provided to you in sessions including handouts and reports are copyrighted to Paws Claws & Tails and Charlotte Bryan. Any public sharing of information received must be given consent by us prior to sharing.
PRIVACY
All information collected about you by Paws Claws & Tails and Charlotte Bryan will only be used to provide our services. Information such as your name, address, contact information and any personal information will not be shared with any third party. Any sharing of information will only occur if consent is provided by yourself and if it is directly relevant to the care of your dog or the services you receive. This may relate to referral to another service provider such as a veterinarian or other behaviour consultant at your discretion. Consent for taking any images or video will be asked. Such images or video will only be shared if your consent has been given at the time of booking or verbal consent is gained within the consultation or training.
LIABILITY
The participation in any courses/services offered by Charlotte Bryan and Paws, Claws & Tails is on your own risk which means the responsibility lies with the participant/s themselves. The participant is fully liable for any damages/harm done by either themselves, their dogs or any people that attended with them. Charlotte Bryan and Paws, Claws & Tails do not take ANY responsibility for ANY damage/harm done to a person/s or a thing/s (e.g. buildings, cars, dogs, personal belongings etc.). The participant takes the full responsibility for his/her dog/s, even if acting upon instruction of a trainer/s or organiser/s.
You are fully responsible for your own and your dog’s actions. Charlotte Bryan and Paws, Claws & Tails cannot be asked to take over any costs for damage or harm done to you or your dog/s or harm/injury that you or your dog cause to other people or property.
Charlotte Bryan and Paws, Claws & Tails does not take any responsibility in case of injury or death of your dog/s.
Charlotte Bryan and Paws, Claws & Tails takes all reasonable precautions within the structure of our seminars/training sessions/workshops/courses and on our premises to avoid injury resulting from dog bites. However, Charlotte Bryan and Paws, Claws & Tails accepts no responsibility for damage or injury resulting from dog bites occurring to clients or their dogs while attending training sessions/seminars/courses/workshops.
All instances of accident or injury must be reported to the dog trainer at the time they occurred.
PHOTO RELEASE
By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, you give Charlotte Bryan and Paws, Claws & Tails permission to publish in print, electronic, or video format the likeness or image of you and/or your dog. You release all claims against Charlotte Bryan and Paws, Claws & Tails with respect to privacy rights, publicity rights, copyright ownership and publication, including any claim for compensation related to use of the materials. If you do not wish for yourself or your dog to be included in photos or videos, please inform your trainer.
NON-COMPETITION CLAUSE
Any individual participating in puppy school or classes, trick classes, therapy dog training, dog agility classes and training and general dog training and assessments agrees not to conduct, hold or offer such or similar to the general public or another business or third parties within Australia, within 5 consecutive years after the event. This includes all courses, classes, seminars, workshops, and training sessions.
AMENDMENTS
Charlotte Bryan and Paws, Claws & Tails reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Customers are encouraged to review the terms and conditions on a periodic basis for modifications.
