6.3 We are not responsible for any external costs incurred by the client (e.g. travel, childcare).
7. Behavioural Expectations & Limitations
7.1 We do not guarantee specific training results, as each dog’s progress depends on genetics, environment, history, and consistency from the client.
7.2 Behaviour change takes time, and results vary between dogs.
7.3 Training is a collaborative process; you acknowledge that your ongoing participation is vital for success.
7.4 Some behaviours (e.g. aggressive responses, high reactivity, resource guarding) require long-term management rather than elimination.
8. Liability & Assumption of Risk
8.1 Working with animals carries inherent risks, including but not limited to bites, scratches, falls, or accidental injury.
8.2 You accept full responsibility for the safety and behaviour of your dog, yourself, any family members, and any third parties present during training sessions.
8.3 You are liable for any damage, injury, or loss caused by your dog to people, animals, or property.
8.4 You acknowledge that introducing new training techniques, environments, or stimuli may temporarily increase behavioural responses such as barking, growling, lunging, or stress signals.
8.5 We are not liable for:
- injuries caused by your dog,
- injuries resulting from failure to follow instructions,
- damages caused by equipment supplied or used incorrectly,
- any regression or changes in behaviour after the training program ends.
8.6 If your dog poses a safety risk (e.g. severe aggression), we reserve the right to end the session immediately. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.
8.7 By participating in training, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with dog behaviour and training activities.
9. Safety Requirements
9.1 Dogs must remain on lead unless instructed otherwise.
9.2 You must use equipment recommended by your trainer to ensure safe handling.
9.3 If your dog has a history of aggression or lunging, a secure harness or specialised equipment may be required.
9.4 Children present during sessions must be supervised at all times.
9.5 Training may be postponed if the environment is unsafe (e.g. extreme weather, off-lead dogs in the area).
10. Travel and Location
10.1 Travel fees may apply for certain suburbs and will be advised before booking.
10.2 If training occurs in a public space, you understand that environmental factors are outside our control.
10.3 You are responsible for ensuring your property is accessible and safe for our trainer.
11. Australian Consumer Law
