Situation

I have an 8 month old German Shepherd who is 40kg and pure muscle. He’s pretty good on the whole but will not stop jumping up at us. I’ve tried giving him treats, turning my back on him and ignoring him but he’s so excited he just can’t help himself.

Situation

Our girl is 4 months and starting puppy training this weekend. She is only home for a couple of hours at a time by herself.
So far she has eaten the corner of the lounge, the arm on a chair, the underside of my bed. She has toys, I often put peanut butter on her chew toy to make it last a bit longer but I feel she needs something more. She’s clearly getting bored very easily!

Charlotte’s Advice

The solution to this is simple – crate train her whilst you are out! Crate training is not a punishment and should be a positive thing for your pup. Give her treats, bones and toys when she goes in the crate and only keep her in there while you’re out of the house.
